Manjal Restaurant Fine dining cuisine in the heart of Canary Wharf overlooking waterside views. This was our third visit here, as they very kindly invited us again. I’ve said it before, we’ve eaten in various Michelin star restaurants and their food is better than some of the ones we have dined in. It truly is a hidden gem. There is a plethora of good Indian restaurants to dine in but if you want some sensational food, I’d recommend you visit Manjal & try some of their dishes (They even have a great lunch menu for 7.99). We ordered the following items: Garlic King Prawns Adkari Tandoori Lamb chops Chicken Lollipops Special Mutton Kothu Roll Butter Chicken Mutton curry on the bones Lamb Biryani Chocolate tart Strawberry Ice cream Masala Tea Strawberry mocktail This is one of my favourite Indian restaurants & it is one I always recommend to people (along with a couple of others). Their interior is simple yet classy. Their food is of high quality & some dishes are spectacular - their Garlic king prawns, adkari lamb chops and devils lamb chops are well worth opting for. The Butter chicken was thick, creamy and mild in flavour. In contrast, the Special Mutton kothu roll was spicy & very flavoursome. Everything we ate was amazing! The chocolate tart was incredible. Matching the exiquiste food was the service, both outstanding. The staff are some of the most hospitable people, The menu is extensive & everything is cooked to a very high standard. The food is absolutely DIVINE. Perfect for a special occasion, celebratory meal, date night and they’re very family friend. They also have a small private dining area for those who would like some privacy with friends/family/small functions. Overall, a HIGHLY satisfying meal with some great views! Do check out my previous posts for a review on my previous visits.

If you’re looking for delicious Sri Lankan and South Indian food, this is the place for you. The garlic prawns, lamb varuval and Himalayan wings are a must try for starters. And we enjoyed the mutton kottu roti, upcountry chicken curry with Malabar parathas for our mains. The food was amazing and the service was impeccable! The staff are so friendly and really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome.

I recently had lunch at Manjal Restaurant, and it turned out to be a satisfying experience with a few highlights worth mentioning. The setting is elegant yet relaxed, with warm lighting and clean, comfortable seating. Manjal is a solid choice for authentic South Indian and Sri Lankan cuisine. It’s a great spot for casual lunches or family meals, the flavors and hospitality more than made up for it. I would highly recommend manjal for my family and friends.

Great food. Rather spicy and not moderated for European tastes, I like that but consider it when ordering. The servings are rather large, 3 would have been enough for the 4 of us. It's easy to share since the sauces, rice, naan are all served separately. The ambience could be cozier if the music was quieter.

Very delicious food. My wife and I both ordered the the Chicken Chettinad each with a side of egg fried rice and keema naan to share. The food was amazing. The curry was lovely and aromatic. The rice was great. Would definitely eat here again. Decent sized servings. Ate as part of a larger group. The butter chicken on our table looked, and tasted, delicious. Definitely recommended the Chilean Merlot. Complimented the spices perfectly.

We have visited this place multiple times. Food is absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is quiet and nice in weekend. Since it’s located near to the Thames the view in day time is nice. Staff are friendly. Highly recommended.
